Alyssa tailored the course specifically to my needs and schedule, even accommodating the fact that I was working remotely during the training. She gave her full attention to us, adapting her teaching style to fit our weaknesses and areas for improvement. She challenged me in the best way possible, offering straightforward feedback that made me a stronger and more confident diver. For example, after countless attempts, I can finally — and with ease — hover perfectly! :-)

Alyssa’s deep focus on safety, paired with insights from her real-world experiences, made the course not just educational but incredibly practical. Her wide-ranging knowledge, especially from her experience working around the world and on high-intensity liveaboards, added so much value to every dive. Yet, even with all the learning, Alyssa made sure we had a great laugh along the way, keeping things fun and enjoyable.

She went beyond just teaching the technical skills, providing mentorship and offering advice and encouragement that helped me grow both as a diver and as a person. With Alyssa's guidance, I not only became a more confident dive professional, but I also learned how to enhance the experience for others around me—whether it’s by helping fellow divers or encouraging other women to take the plunge into the diving world.

I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking to develop their diving skills or pursue professional certifications. I’m incredibly grateful to have had her as my mentor & now personal friend and can’t wait for the chance to work with her again someday!

Alyssa at Dive Into It taught my Emergency First Response course in preparation for Rescue and Dive Master training. Alyssa has an incredible amount of knowledge that is backed by her extensive professional experience in the field.

As an instructor Alyssa is direct, thorough and personable. She is able to quickly identify your points of weakness in order to strengthen gaps in your knowledge as you do a course with her. She has invaluable tips and tricks for every different part of the course.

Alyssa is also realistic about scenarios you might come across in order to best prepare you for real life. I highly recommend Dive Into It and Alyssa. Thank you so much!

To know someone who lives and breathes their passion with love and enthusiasm to inspire who ever crosses their path is a gift that I’m lucky to know. Alyssa doesn’t take her “job” or lifestyle for granted. She’s worked hard, broken barriers and proved to herself and others over and over again that no matter what, if you put your mind to something and your heart is in it, there’s truly no stopping you!

When I signed up to go snorkelling in Mozambique I never imagined I’d now be a diving instructor on a liveaboard in Thailand. Alyssa took me under her wing, she believed in me and opened up a world of possibilities in professional diving that I knew so little about.

Throughout my journey from DSD to Instructor, Alyssa has been there for me every step of the way. Once you’re a student of Alyssa’s, you’re supported for life. She is thorough and adaptive in her teaching techniques and always a step ahead. Safety and following the correct procedures are always top priority. I can see now so clearly how impactful her forward thinking teaching approach is as I’ve progressed up to Instructor level.

Alongside gaining a mentor for life so soon in my diving career, I’ve also gained a friendship that I value above everything else. From Mozambique to South Africa to Thailand, we’ve shared ups and downs and have some incredible stories to share. I’ve no doubt that whoever encounters Alyssa becomes a better version of themselves below and above the water.

Alyssa was more than just my Divemaster instructor; she was my dive buddy and mentor. During my intense 3-month course in Mozambique, she was always there to guide me, push me and make sure I had a blast. From the basics to the advanced stuff, she broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand and fun to learn.

I spent countless hours shadowing her, watching how she handled every situation, from calm dives to challenging conditions. Her passion for diving is contagious and she always inspired me to be better.
